This plan was developed to ensure that clean air is achieved and maintained throughout the Perth metropolitan region over the next 30 years.
The plan seeks to achieve this by reducing the emission of those air pollutants that are causing occasional episodes of unacceptable air quality now, and by preventing the development of future air quality problems.
The aim of the plan is to steadily improve Perth’s air quality so that we have cleaner air to a level that is acceptable to the community.
