This drinking water protection plan has been developed to help protect the quality of water in the North Dandalup Pipehead Dam Catchment to ensure the supply of safe drinking water.
The plan details the location and boundary of the dam and its water catchment, which is a strategic source of public drinking water for the Integrated Water Supply System. It describes the water supply system, discusses existing and future land uses, identifies risks, and recommends management approaches to address those risks and maximise protection of the catchment.
The plan was reviewed in the North Dandalup Dam Catchment Area drinking water source protection review (2019), which considers changes that have occurred in and around the catchment since the completion of this plan. The two documents should be read alongside each other to obtain all of the information about this drinking water source.
