This report represents the department's assessment of KCGM’s applications to the Minister for Environment under regulation 17 of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 for further approval of the noise emissions from the mining operations, and for retaining the original airblast standards for the blasting activity at Fimiston Mine site.
