Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Clause 27 of the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS), the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) resolved on 13 September 2023 to transfer Lot 803 (No 92) Altone Road, Kiara and a portion of the adjacent road lot, from the Urban Deferred zone to the Urban zone, as shown on WAPC plan 4.1668.
Pursuant to section 126(3) of the Planning and Development Act 2005, the WAPC has the option of concurrently rezoning land that is being zoned Urban under the MRS, to a “Development” zone (or similar), in the corresponding Local Planning Scheme. The WAPC agreed to the land being transferred to the “Residential Development” zone in the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17.
Accordingly, the amendment to the MRS and the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17 is effective from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette.
