The inaugural Innovation Advisory Board (IAB) meeting was held on Monday 21 October 2024.
The Board was convened to act as an independent voice for the innovation community. It will look to measure the progress of Western Australia's Innovation Strategy, released in 2022. The strategy outlines a 10-year plan to establish WA as a global hub of invention, investment, innovation and impact.
The Board will develop benchmarking metrics charting WA's performance against the actions and goals in the strategy, to guide the WA Government in implementing initiatives.
The intention of the first IAB meeting was to confirm the purpose of the Board.
