Horrocks Beach Water Reserve drinking water source protection assessment

Plan
Drinking water source protection assessment for the Horrocks Beach Water Reserve
Last updated:

This document presents an initial assessment of the risks to water quality in Horrocks Beach Water Reserve. It is the first stage in the production of a drinking water source protection plan for the catchment.

The assessment details the location and boundary of the drinking water catchment, which provides potable water to the town of Horrocks Beach. It describes the water supply system, discusses existing and proposed land uses, identifies risks, and recommends management approaches to address those risks and maximise protection of the catchment.

The assessment was reviewed in the Horrocks Beach Water Reserve drinking water source protection review (2018), which considers changes that have occurred in and around the water reserve since the completion of this plan. The two documents should be read alongside each other to obtain all of the information about this drinking water source.
