Ecotoxicological investigation of the groundwater interception drain at Claisebrook in the Swan Estuary

Research and analysis
Study to compare the relative toxicity of sediments collected from 11 sites within the Swan Estuary, targeting the area adjacent to Mardalup Park at Claisebrook Cove.
Last updated:

This study was conducted to determine whether sediments collected adjacent to the GID outfall to the Swan Estuary were toxic to aquatic organisms, whether sediment toxicity was greater at the groundwater interception drain outfall than at other sites in the region and whether a toxicity gradient existed away from the GID outfall.
