Technical Report
Defines the nature and extent of flooding in the north-east Baldivis development area.
Last updated:

This flood modelling and drainage study provides the pre-development site conditions and floodplain mapping of the East of Kwinana proposed development area as identified in the Perth and Peel @ 3.5 million sub-regional frameworks.

This study was completed as part of the floodplain risk management and land capability advice provided to the Western Australia Planning Commission to assist in the determination of the land uses in the area. The land use determinations are available on the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage website.

The study also supports the Birrega and Oaklands Drainage and Water Management Plan and covers the Birrega and Oaklands catchments with the outlet, being the Serpentine River and eventually the Peel-Harvey estuary. This study transitions the previous models to ARR2019. The department will use this model and study to compare proposals against and provide recommendations and advice.
