This draft guideline sets out our information requirements for the analysis of air emission impact for prescribed premises.

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation published for consultation this draft air emissions guideline for prescribed premises regulated under Part V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.

The draft guideline applies to all applications for a works approval or licence under Part V of the Act that include an identified air emission component. It provides applicants with further guidance on:

  • how the department assesses air emissions;
  • the information to include for applications that involve air emissions;
  • when a detailed analysis and air emission modelling is required; and
  • when air emissions are considered insignificant.

We invited feedback on the draft guideline from October 2019 to January 2020.
