The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development’s Innovate RAP 2024-25, provides a mechanism to drive reconciliation outreach with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout WA.

The implementation of this RAP demonstrates the department’s fundamental commitment to raise awareness and generate deeper understanding of why building reconciliation into the department’s day-to-day work is important.

RAP Innovate aims to:

  • Embed the reconciliation actions into DPIRD’s business planning.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, communities, and individuals.
  • Create and foster respect of local Aboriginal cultures, histories and knowledge
  • Create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities that enable knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Monitor, evaluate and reflect on DPIRD’s RAP deliverables.
