This drinking water source protection plan has been developed to help protect the quality of water in the Bolgart Water Reserve to ensure the supply of safe drinking water to the town of Bolgart. It considers changes that have occurred in and around the Bolgart Water Reserve since completion of the 1999 Bolgart Water Reserve water source protection plan and replaces it.
The plan details the location and boundary of the drinking water catchment, existing and future usage of the water source, describes the water supply system, identifies risks and recommends management approaches to address those risks and maximise protection of the catchment.
