The Midland Background Air Quality Study was a 12-month targeted study to measure the acid gases hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen chloride in ambient air using an open-path fourier transform infrared spectrometer. Opportunistic sampling for sulfur dioxide was also undertaken from 30 January 2012 until the completion of the study.
