Lisa Bednarczyk is the Acting Assistant Under Treasurer of Strategic Policy and Evaluation, having commenced the role at the beginning of 2024. Lisa and her teams oversee around three‑quarters of all general government spending in Western Australia on critical human services, including health and mental health, education and training, police and justice, social housing, child protection and disabilities. The Unit works closely with partner agencies to achieve practical, value for money outcomes through the provision of pragmatic and solutions-focused financial, policy, and investment advice to Executive Government.  Lisa also leads and oversees the provision of advice on First Nations outcomes and issues, including native title and Closing the Gap targets, through the Aboriginal Affairs Coordination Unit, and monitoring of strategic program delivery across Government, through the Performance Monitoring Unit.

Before joining Treasury in 2008, Lisa worked in public sector roles across local and State government in both regional and metropolitan WA.  Most recently, Lisa held the role of Director of Performance and Evaluation Group 2 (Social Services and Aboriginal Outcomes) since late 2018.
