We are incredibly varied so you can learn a lot by being a trainee with us. We help our community by:
- playing a big role in making sure workers are physically and mentally safe at work
- using Geoscientific data, information and services to support the responsible use of Western Australia’s natural resources
- working to ensure Western Australians get what they pay for and help if something goes wrong such as scams
- rolling out new technology to provide better customer service
- helping to ensure workers understand their rights and are paid correctly under employment laws.

There are going to be some changes to what our department will look like and our functions on 1 July 2025 as part of the 2025 Public Sector Reform. This doesn’t change the great opportunity you have with this traineeship – you will still work with supportive teams on interesting projects.
