The McGowan Government's RED Grants program has invested $45.8 million over eight years in local projects across Western Australia's regions, to drive economic development and support regional communities.

Successful projects in Round 5 of the RED Grants will diversify the tourism and hospitality sectors and create training opportunities for local communities in the region.

Shift Engineering will use its $200,000 grant to expand and diversify its facilities by purchasing a CNC press brake machine to increase metal bending capability in the region and enable future expansion with the construction of a new workshop. The project will employ up to six staff and three apprentices once in production.

Coolibah Care will receive $100,000 to redevelop its existing training space to a modern training hub and enable practical and online learning for aged care industry workers.

Boundary Island Brewery in Mandurah will receive $100,000 to expand its facilities and purchase equipment, enabling the brewhouse to increase production, reach the wholesale market and cater to large external functions and events.

Oakford Equestrian Centre will use its $40,000 grant to build additional training jumps, which will expand and improve the facilities for equestrian training in the Peel region and attract more equestrians to use the facility.

Dwellingup Adventures will use the $60,000 to construct and operate a bike/watercraft hire facility and kiosk at the Dwaarlindjirraap (Baden Powell) recreation area at Lane Poole Reserve. These services will attract visitors and enhance their experience of mountain biking, hiking facilities and water-based activities.
