Western Australian homeowners are being encouraged to register as a homestay host for international students, through a $50,000 marketing campaign delivered by StudyPerth in partnership with the McGowan Government.
Launched today, the campaign promotes the benefits of hosting an international student through the Australian Homestay Network, including sharing cultures and building lifelong friendships.
Australian Homestay Network hosts receive remuneration of up to $295 per week for accommodating an international student.
Focused on driving homestay host registrations in the lead up to Semester 1 in 2023, the campaign will run on social media and through print and radio outlets until early 2023.
Through the 2022-23 State Budget, the McGowan Government has committed $41.2 million to boost the State's international education sector following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Providing safe and affordable housing for international students is essential to the growth of the sector.
