Police Minister Bob Wiese said today any decision about offering a reward for information to help police track down the Greenough murderer would depend on advice from Police Commissioner Brian Bull.

"The commissioner is in touch regularly with progress of the investigation and he will advise me when he thinks a reward is necessary," Mr Wiese said.

"Meanwhile, there has been a steady flow of information and any offer of a reward would be pointless at the present time.

"If the information dries up, then we will review the situation and consider what steps would be beneficial.

"I have assured Mr Bull that the Government will support whatever decision he feels is necessary."
