Youth Week WA celebrations kick off in Albany tomorrow, marking the start of the annual celebration showcasing the contributions of young Western Australians aged 10-25.
The City of Albany has partnered with local community organisations to deliver a range of events, including a short film festival, live music and a job preparation skills workshop.
Other activities such as glow in the dark basketball, art shows and a DJ Dance Party will be held across WA this year.
More than 100 Youth Week WA 2024 events and activities will take place from the Great Southern to the Kimberley, which are free, accessible and safe for all young people.
Propel Youth Arts WA and the Department of Communities' KickstART Festival is also offering an exciting schedule including the KickstART Market Day on 6 April 2024.
Youth Week 2024 Ambassadors Izabella Brandis, Nathida Chalermsuk, Fatima Merchant and Samuel Thomas were appointed in 2023 to support the delivery of Youth Week.
This year's theme, 'Head, Body, Heart' focuses on how young people express themselves and take a whole-body approach to mental, physical, social and emotional health.
The Ambassadors are also developing an online publication that will be launched at the end of Youth Week to recognise and celebrate local young people and organisations involved.

"Youth Week WA is a time to celebrate every young person in Western Australia, including in our own Great Southern region, and showcase their unique ideas, capabilities and skills.
"To mark the occasion tomorrow, the Albany Town Hall will be hosting a Winter Wonderland Social where 12-to-15-year-olds can dance the night away in a magical snowy setting."
