Regional businesses based in the Kimberley, Geraldton and the South West will share in $474,000 of grant funding thanks to X-TEND WA.

Innovation and Digital Economy Minister Stephen Dawson said the Cook Government's successful X-TEND WA program accelerates new and emerging businesses and supports projects which build innovation.

This latest round of recipients is made up of six businesses located in different areas across the State. Each business will receive up to $100,000 in co-contributory grants to deliver their respective programs.

X-TEND WA is a part of the Cook Government's $25.8 million New Industries Fund (NIF) with these recent recipients the first announced since applications changed to a year-round model, as opposed to a once-a-year four-week window.

Since 2019 when the program was first launched there have been 26 grants awarded over $2.5 million in funds.
