The Cook Labor Government will provide an additional $2.67 million in funding towards Stage 1B of the Albany Motorsport Park project.

Officially opened in July, Stage 1A of the project has been a game changer for Albany motorsport enthusiasts with a new 2.4-kilometre motocross dirt circuit track, clubhouse, facilities and associated infrastructure, and an offroad/4WD driver training area.

Stage 1B will complement these works, delivering a 1.09km Northern Circuit and asphalt sealing.

The project will meet the high demand for motorsports in the region and foster social engagement, mental and physical health outcomes, club participation, volunteering, and job creation.

The additional funding brings the State Government's total investment to $8.42m, with the Commonwealth Government also providing almost $5m in funds.

The Albany Motorsport Park is a joint project between the City of Albany and the Great Southern Motorplex Group Inc.
