Youth Week WA 2025 will be celebrated from 10-17 April, with the theme 'Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment'.
The theme has been selected by the Youth Week WA Planning Committee and reflects young people's connection to the community and each other.
Youth Week is Western Australia's biggest annual celebration of young people aged 10-25, recognising their valuable contributions and providing them opportunities to express ideas, raise important issues and connect with peers in their local communities.
'Our Threads' represents interconnectedness and young people coming together across WA to share their stories and experiences.
'This Place' references the physical and social environments that young people inhabit and celebrates the diverse communities and landscapes that make up WA.
'Your Moment' acknowledges WA's incredible young people and is a reminder that they can make an impact, be seen and feel connected, now and into the future.
The Youth Week WA Planning Committee has a vital role in shaping the festivities and is made up of a group of inspiring young people, including Youth Week 2025 Ambassadors Daisy Pilsworth, Emily Sullivan, Lissa Lee and Om Sharma.
The ambassadors, announced in September, are helping to lead the planning, development and promotion of Youth Week WA 2025.
The City of Karratha will kick off festivities next year, followed by more than 100 events across WA to celebrate and showcase young people.
Youth Week WA events and projects are funded through the Department of Communities, Propel Youth Arts, Lotterywest, and the WA Government's Youth Week WA grants program.
The Cook Labor Government has made $80,000 in grants available to support activities and events next year with successful applicants to be announced soon.
