Construction underway to build new Ellenbrook Community Hub
- Ellenbrook Community Hub progresses with construction underway
- Project supported by a $3.5 million WA Labor Government election commitment
- Hub to be home to community groups and multicultural associations
Construction begins on the Ellenbrook Community Hub project which is supported by a $3.5 million WA Labor Government election commitment.
The $7.5 million project has also been made possible through a $2 million investment from the Commonwealth Government and a $2 million Lotterywest grant.
The City of Swan has provided the land and $500,000 for landscaping once the building is complete.
The hub will be the shared home to an array of community groups, including the Ellenbrook Men's Shed, the Ellenbrook Combined Probus Club, Ellenbrook RSL and several multicultural associations.
The hub, to be built next to the Ellenbrook Bowls Club on Cashman Avenue, will feature:
- a large hall to cater for functions, performances, events and regular group recreation activities;
- a workshop building for the core tenant the Ellenbrook Men's Shed;
- an activity room;
- arts and craft space;
- community room; and
- indoor and outdoor storage rooms.
Construction is scheduled for completion by November 2025.
