Bus consultation now open for METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line

• Community feedback sought on new bus network to support Morley-Ellenbrook Line project
• 88 additional buses to be added to the network to support new stations
• New routes will be added, and some existing routes changed or replaced
• Greater frequency and operating hours across the north-eastern suburbs, including service expansions into newly-developed areas
• Consultation open until Sunday, 15 September 2024

Communities in Perth's north-east will see a major increase in bus services, with the opening of the METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line later this year.

In support of the new train line, 88 additional buses will be brought into service, equating to an additional five million bus service kilometres every year.

The big increase will result in more frequent services, improved operating hours and greater coverage across the community.

The Public Transport Authority has today released its proposed bus network to support the five new train stations being built in Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park, Ballajura, Noranda and Morley.

The proposed bus services include new routes, while some existing routes will be changed or replaced.

Community feedback is being sought on the proposed bus services which will see improvements in general frequency and operating hours across the north-eastern suburbs.

The proposed bus network will also see:

• expansion of bus services into newly-developed areas in Aveley, Brabham, Dayton and Ellenbrook;
• high-frequency services connecting the new Morley Station and current Morley Bus Station, which will be renamed to Galleria Bus Station; and
• improved cross-regional links between the Ellenbrook, Yanchep and Midland Lines.

The community can provide feedback at www.mysaytransport.wa.gov.au. The consultation period closes 15 September 2024.

Timetables for train services and the supporting bus network for surrounding suburbs will be made available before passenger services start on the new train line.
