Expansion for Esperance Aged Care Facility

Regional Development Minister Terry Redman today announced the Esperance Aged Care Facility was set for major improvements with a $3 million State Government Royalties for Regions investment as part of the Goldfields-Esperance Revitalisation Fund.

Regional Development Minister Terry Redman today announced the Esperance Aged Care Facility was set for major improvements with a $3 million State Government Royalties for Regions investment as part of the Goldfields-Esperance Revitalisation Fund.

"This Liberal National Government project will include the construction of a modern, new 34-bed complex consisting of 17 general residential beds and 17 secure residential beds for people living with dementia.  At project completion, there will be 114 beds available at the facility," Mr Redman said.

"The expanded facility will address current and future demand for residential care in the Esperance region."

The Minister said the expansion of the Esperance Aged Care Facility supported the continued development of age-friendly communities in regional Western Australia.

"Royalties for Regions is aimed at retaining and growing population in the regions, and by investing in appropriate health services and infrastructure, we are helping to create sustainable regional communities," he said.

"Royalties for Regions is playing a vital role in supporting our regions and I look forward to seeing the completion of the facility."

The Goldfields-Esperance Revitalisation Fund is a Royalties for Regions initiative that invests in priority projects to enable economic and social development in the region
