Alkimos Beach launches first sales
- Perth's biggest new coastal development in 50 years
- Land available from $145,000
The biggest and most significant coastal development north of Perth in 50 years will begin sales this month, with the first release of lots on Saturday January 19.
The launch coincides with the opening of the Alkimos Beach Sales and Information Centre and is the culmination of several years of planning and development by project partners LandCorp and Lend Lease.
Lands Minister Brendon Grylls said Alkimos Beach was an exciting new beach-side development that would be home to more than 15,000 residents and provide up to 12,000 new employment opportunities for the expanding Western Australian population.
"The vision for Alkimos Beach is to achieve a new benchmark in sustainable living while carefully balancing the superb natural environment with progressive yet affordable development. The project recently gained accreditation in all six categories of the Urban Development Institute of Australia's prestigious EnviroDevelopment initiative, a first for WA which will reduce household energy costs by up to 50 per cent," Mr Grylls said.
"In line with the State Government's strategic plan Directions 2031, Alkimos Beach has been designed to meet demand for land in the growing northern suburbs corridor, offering a multi-purpose centre that is close to employment with good public transport access."
Located 15 kilometres north of Joondalup, Alkimos Beach will offer outstanding facilities and a future rail station and high frequency bus route is also planned.
"Alkimos Beach will be a benchmark for what is possible when uncompromising passion for creating special places is thoughtfully planned and delivered," the Minister said.
The first release includes lots from 240-600sqm and will be sold to applicants registered on the database. Competitively priced from $145,000 with an average price of $225,000, sales begin January 19 at the sales centre at the intersection of Romeo Road and Marmion Avenue.
