Regional planning and infrastructure frameworks

The WAPC, in partnership with Regional Development Commissions, Regional Development Australia and local governments has prepared regional planning and infrastructure frameworks for the State’s eight country planning regions.
Last updated:

The purpose of each framework is to establish a regional vision and basis for decision-making. The frameworks also introduce a number of planning initiatives, which form the basis of an ongoing work program for the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.

Work has begun to prepare eight new Regional Planning Strategies, to replace the existing Regional Planning and Infrastructure Frameworks. Draft strategies are now being prepared.
