Metropolitan Region Scheme Amendment 1410 (Standard) - Part Lot 96 Starflower Road, Henley Brook - Notice of approved Amendment

The Minister for Planning has approved, as advertised, the above mentioned amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS).

The amendment is shown on Western Australian Planning Commission plan number 3.2817 and is effective from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette being Friday 31 May 2024.

The purpose of the amendment is to transfer approximately 3.78 hectares of land within Lot 96 Starflower Road, Henley Brook from the Public Purposes - Special Uses reservation to the Urban zone under the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS).

Pursuant to section 126(3) of the Planning and Development Act 2005 (the Act), the WAPC has the option of concurrently rezoning land being zoned Urban under the Metropolitan Region Scheme to a Development zone (or similar) in the corresponding local planning scheme.

The WAPC has agreed to concurrently amend the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17, to transfer the amendment area to the ‘Residential Development’ zone.

This amendment to the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17 is effective on and from the date of publication of this notice in the Government Gazette
