In May and June 2017, six applications for review of decisions by the Economic Regulation Authority were lodged by Mr Stephen Davidson (Applications ERB 1 to 6 of 2017). The applications related to decisions made by the Authority during 2015 and 2016 about Western Power’s Technical Rules.
On 30 June 2017, Mr Davidson lodged a further application (Application 7 of 2017) relating to the conduct of Applications ERB 1 to 6 of 2017.
On 3 May 2018, the Attorney General appointed Mr Scott Ellis as the Presiding Member of the Western Australian Electricity Review Board to hear the applications for review. On 11 June 2018, Mr Ellis appointed Mr Warren Harding and Ms Jenny Davis as Expert Members of the Electricity Review Board.
Directions Hearings were held on 21 June 2018 and 3 September 2018 at the State Administrative Tribunal, Level 6, State Administrative Tribunal Building, 565 Hay Street Perth Western Australia. The decision to dismiss Applications 1 to 7 of 2017 was issued on 28 September 2018.
