WasteSorted Community Education program recipients announced

19 businesses, not-for-profits, local governments and community groups have been awarded almost $255,000 in WasteSorted Community Education Grants.

Projects submitted in this round of grant applications include a variety of waste workshops in regional locations, an educational card game on waste sorting, and an online educational package for kids.

The WasteSorted Community Education grants program provides funding to improve waste behaviour in ways that support the aims of the state’s Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030.
