Defence West is leading a team of Western Australian delegates to the 16th Avalon Australian International Airshow to showcase WA's capabilities in aerospace, defence and space.

Hosted at Victoria’s Avalon Airport, the biennial event is the largest aerospace and defence trade event in the southern hemisphere. It attracts stakeholders from senior civil aviation, aerospace, space and defence industry, military and government decision-makers.

The 6-day event consists of 3 Trade Days where Team WA delegates will join more than 800 exhibiting companies to showcase their products, services and technologies.

The Trade Days provide a platform for delegates to connect with national and international stakeholders, and secure investment and contract opportunities. On Day 4, the Defence West stand will contribute to the Avalon 2025 Careers Day, with a display of specially curated, hands-on activities for students attending the event.

This year, Team WA includes delegates from space-focussed businesses, highlighting WA's growing space sector. WA's education and research capabilities will also be in the spotlight, with representatives from some of WA's public tertiary institutions in attendance, alongside South Metro TAFE, the UWA Defence and Security Institute & the UWA International Space Centre.

Avalon 2025 opens Tuesday 25 March and closes Sunday 30 March. Careers Day is on Friday 28 March.
