Venture capital funding boost for local start-ups and scale-ups

Over $150 million available for local innovators to scale their business in the WA Venture Capital Initiative.

The WA Government invests a further $15 million in the Western Australia Venture Capital Investment, totalling a foundational investment of $45 million for the State’s emerging innovators and startups.  

This significant investment means Western Australian based start-ups and scale ups will have access to $150million in new capital venture funds. 

As part of the investment fund, the WA Government is partnering with 7 venture capital firms, who see the great opportunity WA presents. 

The firms are:

  • Artesian 

  • Brandon BioCatalyst

  • Fund WA  

  • Health Translation Group

  • Melt Ventures

  • Purpose Ventures 

  • Skalata  

Through a competitive assessment process, 4 WA-based firms and 3 firms from outside of WA have been selected. 

The locally-based partners bring a wealth of existing networks and knowledge of the WA economic landscape, while the remaining interstate firms bring a diversity of skillsets and perspectives.
