X-TEND WA 2024 Meet our recipients

Round 6 of the X-TEND WA Program awarded grant funding to 6 Western Australian businesses, with this round supporting 4 regional businesses based in the Kimberley, Geraldton, Karratha and the Pilbara.

The businesses will receive a share of $547,300 in grant funding, which they will use to deliver programs that assist Western Australian entrepreneurs, startups, and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand their capability and support their innovation journey.

Part of the $25.8 million New Industries Fund, the X-TEND WA program was established in in 2019 to help fund initiatives that improve investor and entrepreneurial education and boost the innovative ecosystem.

Since its inception, the program awarded more than $1.6 million to a wide range of programs and sectors, including health tech, sports tech, indigenous entrepreneurship, regional innovation, export market entry, social impact, female founders and angel investment.

X-TEND Round 7 is specifically looking to support programs that boost investor education, corporate education, and broader ecosystem support that focuses directly on regional and/or indigenous innovators and female founders in Western Australia.
