On 31 March the Premier of Western Australia, Roger Cook announced a reform of some public sector agencies to align with his vision for the future of our State.
From 1 July 2025, Finance will become the Department of Housing and Works with responsibility for the building, maintenance and management of our social housing stock, as well as the building and maintenance of smaller government infrastructure such as schools and police stations.
Some existing Department of Finance functions, such as RevenueWA and procurement policy, will transfer to the new Department of Treasury and Finance.
While this reform impacts the way Finance is structured after 1 July, be assured that it is business as usual during the transition.
