The purpose of the improvement scheme policy is to guide land use and development within the West End of Port Hedland, in the context of the implementation of the State Government response to the Port Hedland Dust Management Report to Government (2016). The policy takes into consideration existing land uses, heritage, character, amenity, natural features and movement networks, and the longer term intentions for development in specific locations within Port Hedland’s West End.
