Elev8 participants have immersed themselves in the second of 4 core experiences.

High performing Level 8s from 21 agencies across the sector have just finished the first 2 experiences of Elev8, exploring what it takes to be an egoless leader and a cultural leader.

Daevid Anderson, Strategy and Governance Manager at the Commission, is taking part and says he’s excited to grow through the experience.

“It’s an excellent program that builds on the core knowledge every public sector leader should understand and use,” he says.

This week participants explored how working with multiple cultures can break down barriers, build relationships and increase connections.

With new ideas and strategies on how to leverage the collective strength of diverse perspectives, these dedicated leaders are ready to positively challenge cultural and individual assumptions in the workplace and strengthen team culture in their agencies.

“The public sector is a huge employer, with staff from all walks of life doing all kinds of diverse jobs,” says Daevid.

“As leaders we have an enormous impact on how engaged our staff are with each other, their work and the mission of the agency.”
