2024 Premier’s Science Awards finalists announced and People’s Choice Award voting commences
Last updated:

34 of Western Australia's scientists, STEM educators, students and engagement programs have been selected as finalists in the 2024 Premier's Science Awards.

Now in its 23rd year, the program recognises outstanding achievements in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) within WA across 8 award categories with prizes ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

This year's awards introduced 2 Educator of the Year categories, developed to acknowledge the significant contributions made to enrich student engagement in STEM from Primary to Tertiary studies.

The 2024 Premier’s Science Awards will also, for the first time, include a People’s Choice Award, where members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite scientist, educator or initiative.

Winners across all award categories and the People's Choice Award will be announced at the 2024 Premier’s Science Awards ceremony on Monday 19 August 2024.

To cast a vote on your favourite scientist, educator or initiative, visit the People’s Choice Award page.
