“Launch is perfect when you're at the beginning of your career in the public sector.”

That’s Aditi Chaturvedi talking about Launch, a program for staff new to the public sector who have recently graduated from uni.

She’s a graduate investigator in Consumer Protection at the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

With a Master of Law and recently admitted as a lawyer, Aditi loves working in a team where she can apply her knowledge.

She recently completed Launch and says it was a great experience because “there are things you don’t learn at university, like how to be a future leader."

Launch equips you with the mindset, communication and networking skills to help you in your current job as well as your career progression in the sector.

“Launch also challenged us to reflect,” she said. “We go from school to university to a job and we’re not really programmed to do this.

“I think that was the most challenging part, really delving deep and reflecting on how I operate, how I feel about things and how I communicate with people.”

Applications are now open for Launch 2024. Staff new to the WA public sector who completed a tertiary qualification in the last 2 years can apply.
