International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

While celebrations of Harmony Day highlight the multicultural diversity of our State, it is important to recognise that this day is dedicated to raise awareness of racial discrimination, its impact and take action to eliminate racism from our community.

Harmony cannot exist without addressing individual, institutional and systemic racial inequality.

The Commission encourages organisations, businesses, and the wider community to commit to taking a meaningful action to contribute towards a community free from racial discrimination.

Resources can be found on National Anti-Racism Framework.
