The Local Capability Fund (LCF) helps small and medium enterprises in Western Australia to increase their capability, capacity and competitiveness as suppliers of products, services and works to the Western Australian Government, major projects and other important markets.

An industry-specific round of the National and International Compliance LCF is now open with grants up to $20,000 (excl. GST) available to eligible applicants. The WA government is investing $100,000 to help local health and medical life sciences companies to attain third-party ISO quality certifications.

Grants are being offered to eligible businesses to carry out the implementation and third party certification of national and international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 13485:2016, to help them advance their medical device and business competitiveness.

This round of Local Capability Fund grants are funded by the WA government’s $8.65 million funding commitment to support the implementation of the WA Health and Medical Life Sciences Industry Strategy.

This Health and Medical Life Sciences LCF round closes on Tuesday, 8 March 2023, with recipients anticipated to be announced in late April 2023.
