Following Inspired Property Group Pty Ltd (trading as Inspired Homes) appointing external administrators, Building and Energy is advising affected homeowners to contact QBE to discuss their eligibility for home indemnity insurance (HII) claims.
The Perth building company appointed administrators yesterday (1 April 2025). Building and Energy understands Inspired Property Group had at least 87 building projects in progress.
Building Commissioner Saj Abdoolakhan said people with contracts and HII policies with Inspired Property Group should contact QBE on 1300 790 723 to discuss arrangements.
“The company’s voluntary administration means affected residential homeowners are entitled to make claims under their home indemnity insurance policies,” he said.
“These homeowners need to contact the insurer QBE to start the claims process. This process can take time, especially with the volume of claims, but QBE will do everything it possibly can to expedite the process.
“Lodging a claim enables homeowners to begin the process of engaging another registered builder to complete the work or to pursue other remedies they may be entitled to.”
For more information, see Building and Energy’s HII fact sheet or QBE's webpage on Inspired Property Group.
Subcontractors, suppliers or other potential creditors of Inspired Property Group should contact the administrator, McGrathNicol. Inquiries can be directed to Seamus Murphy on 6363 7634 or smurphy@mcgrathnicol.com.
