The Department hosted the Innovative Future Leaders event. An opportunity for junior staff across the public sector and graduates enrolled in the Public Sector Commission’s Launch Program, to connect and discuss innovative ideas.

Keynote speaker and Scientific Futurist, Dr Catherine Ball, gave a compelling presentation on emerging technology and how the future workforce might look. She empowered guests to embrace innovation and make a difference in the public sector.

Young leaders at the event were provided some of the common challenges senior leaders face in the public sector. Together they discussed how they would address and overcome these to make a difference in the future workforce.

A highlight of the day was hearing Rebecca and Dr Cath share experiences from different stages of their careers. The public sector shone as a place of opportunity and innovation for skilled young workers to build a meaningful career. 

The event brought professionals across the public sector together to discuss their value and empower them to be confident in their voice to make a difference in the workplace.
