Finalists announced for 2024 WasteSorted Awards

Commitment to the environment through innovative waste reduction continues to shine through as the finalists for the WasteSorted Awards have been announced.

The WasteSorted Awards are held annually and acknowledges exceptional leaders and organisations driving change in pursuit of the goals of Western Australia's Waste Strategy.

The awards celebrate those making landfill the last resort by avoiding, reusing, repairing and recycling waste and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

Nominations were received across 10 categories representing individuals, business and industry, government, schools, community organisations and not-for-profits.

The categories for 2024 include:

  • Community Waste Award
  • Schools Award
  • Business Award
  • Waste Champion Individual Award
  • Waste Champion Team Award
  • Metro Local Government/Regional Council Award
  • Regional Award
  • Community Engagement Award
  • Innovation Award
  • Closing the Loop Award

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner award ceremony on 5 September 2024 as part of the annual Waste and Resource Recovery Conference.
