A $100,000 ELICOS Teachers' Subsidy to support prospective teachers in completing the Cambridge CELTA qualification has been launched.
This exciting subsidy will support up to 31 prospective teachers with their course fees to complete the Cambridge Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) qualification.
The subsidy will provide support payments of up to $3,150 to prospective teachers, to support their course fees when completing the qualification in WA at Milner International College of English and Phoenix Academy. It is available to eligible students who have enrolled in intakes between August to December 2023.
This funding forms part of the Western Australian Government’s $13.1 million boost in investment in Western Australia’s international education sector funded in the 2023-24 State Budget.
