The Department of Finance expanded its Supplier Performance Awards program in 2019, recognising more businesses are meeting the high standards for government projects over the preceding two years.
Three awards were presented by Deputy Director General Phil Helberg at the Optima Centre on 17 September, to:
- PS Structures (Contractor Performance Award)
- Cameron Chisholm & Nicol (Architectural Services Performance Award)
- Rider Levett Bucknall (Cost Manager Performance Award).
Wauters Enterprises was presented the Regional Contractor Award by Southern Region Project Manager Karwai Wong in a separate event in Albany.
Universal Constructions and Broad Constructions were highly commended in the contractor performance category, TAG Architects and Gresley Abas were highly commended in the architectural services category, and Donald Cant Watts Corke were highly commended in the cost manager category.
The awards recognise contractors and consultants providing exceptional value on projects for the Western Australian community. They demonstrate the Government’s commitment to working with suppliers with an established track record in delivering superior project outcomes.
The award is open to prequalified contractors and consultants with two or more performance reports completed over the period, free from performance issues of concern such as demerits and non-payments to subcontractors and subconsultants.
