Last updated:

The first step of the WA Police Force website transition from police.wa.gov.au to the whole-of-government platform - WA.gov.au - has taken place with the launch of the new website today (Wednesday 5 June 2024).

WA Police Force joins a number of agencies that have already transitioned to WA.gov.au.

WA.gov.au is search based and you can simply find information by using the ‘search WA.gov.au’ bar in the top right-hand corner of the page.

You can enhance your search results by adding filters such as information type and service categories.

Our website navigation has also been simplified and you can browse through the six card categories from our homepage:

  1. Report a crime.
  2. Apply or submit a form.
  3. Make a payment.
  4. Learn about us.
  5. View WA Police Force publications.
  6. Contact us.

As part of the transition, the content on police.wa.gov.au has been brought back to basics and updated to reflect a focus on our core services and ease of information.

We remind you to still contact 000 in an emergency. This includes immediate threats to people or property or if a serious crime is in progress.

Phased approach

Today’s launch is part of a phased approach and some features will still only be available on police.wa.gov.au. They will be transitioned to WA.gov.au over the coming months.

Some of the features you will notice linking back to the old website include: find your local police station search, crime statistics, online forms and media releases.

Temporary redirects from police.wa.gov.au to WA.gov.au will be in place after decommissioning so you can still access pages using a URL from the previous website.

Your feedback is important

Contact us if you have any questions or feedback about our presence on WA.gov.au. Please include as much detail such as the page you were viewing and how you accessed the page.

We look forward to continuing to provide an improved online community experience for you.
