About

Aerial Adventure Pemberton is a recipient of round 1 of the Community Small Grants Fund (CSGF), which aims to support community groups and businesses within Western Australia's native forest regions.

Through the CSGF up to $100,000 of funding is available for sustainable projects that aim to create jobs, expand and diversify the local economy, and create liveable communities through services, infrastructure, tourism and events.

Background:

Located in the majestic Gloucester National Park, Aerial Adventure Pemberton offers visitors the opportunity to zip through the giant Karri trees of the southern forests using their all-glide-line course.

Aerial Adventure Pemberton fully funded the construction of the ropes course but did not have the budget to make the needed further improvements:

"We would not have been able to afford the welcome infrastructure as it is today and would have to make do with one single Ticketing booth container to also act as a storage."

Approach:

Through the CSGF, Aerial Adventure Pemberton were able to purchase and install a welcoming area comprising of a ticketing booth, cafe and a storage container that was also integrated into their activities.

Outcome:

For Aerial Adventures Pemberton, the CSGF clearly responded to their situation. It enabled them to explore ways to achieve their targets without the added stress of loans, as well as presenting a fantastic opportunity for networking. The application process also helped to make their objectives clearer and more palpable to them.

They were also very excited that their business could help not only the shire, but also the region as a whole, by attracting visitors.

"The Native Forest Transition Community Small Grant was a breath of fresh air and enabled us to maintain the standards that we envisioned to match the beauty of the Gloucester National Park."
