Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2022
The Legal Costs Committee gives notice under section 139 Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2022 that it will conduct reviews and make determinations in respect of the three non-contentious business determinations it makes.
The non-contentious business determinations being reviewed are:
- Legal Profession (Non-Contentious Business) Determination 2023 (PDF, 127KB)
- Legal Profession (Non-Contentious Probate) Report 2023 (PDF)
- Legal Profession (Public Notaries) Report 2023 (PDF, 137KB).
The Committee welcomes submissions from interested people. Interested parties are invited to make written submissions about any aspect you would like the Committee to consider. Submissions must be relevant to the above determinations and should only deal with matters within the Legal Costs Committee’s jurisdiction.
Written submissions may be delivered personally to The Secretary, Legal Costs Committee, Level 12, Golden Square, 32 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000 or emailed to LCC@justice.wa.gov.au by Friday, 14 March 2025.
Late submissions will not be considered.
Submissions in person are also welcome. Please make a request by 14 March 2025 and arrangements can be made to hear you at a meeting of the Committee. Anyone who wishes to make submissions in person should write to the Secretary at the address above or phone 61 8 9425 7529 or email LCC@justice.wa.gov.au by 14 March 2025.
Written submissions and the Legal Costs Committee’s notes of verbal submissions will be made available to the public unless those making the submissions request confidentiality, or the submissions are considered to be confidential by the Legal Costs Committee.
