A new funding initiative has been launched to attract talent and promote Western Australia's health and medical life sciences (HMLS) industry at a national and international level.
The Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) Scheme will support local HMLS organisations with funding assistance to attract overseas or interstate entrepreneurs or experts for a time-limited residency role.
Up to $10,000 in funding per successful applicant organisation is available.
Grant funding will be used on costs for hosting the resident entrepreneur, including travel and living expenses, as well as limited remuneration costs.
Resident entrepreneurs are expected to deliver or contribute to a specific program, event, or schedule of activities during their tenure in WA which will help support the broader biomedical system.
Applications for the EIR scheme are now open and will close when funding is exhausted.
