RUAH Safe Night Space call in decision

Ministerial Decision approved change of use application from RUAH Community Services with revised conditions of approval for the Safe Night Space service.
Last updated:

Under the Planning and Development Act 2005 (the Act) if the Minister for Planning considers an application to the State Administrative Tribunal raises issues of such State or regional importance that it would be appropriate for the application to be determined by the Minister, he may call in the application for determination.

On 15 March 2024, the Minister for Planning confirmed his decision to call in an application for review of the conditions of approval in relation to the RUAH Safe Night Space service at 247-249 James Street in Northbridge.

In light of concerns about a potential perceived conflict of interest, the Minister for Planning asked the Honourable Minister Sanderson to act for and on his behalf to consider and determine this review application.

The call in process has now been finalised and the Minister’s decision can be found below.
