Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation - Tourism

Through Tourism WA, we aim to develop, attract and market events that strengthen Western Australia’s brand.
Last updated:

Western Australia’s tourism industry is a key economic driver for the local economy. In 2019, visitors spent $13.5 billion in WA and the industry supported 98,900 jobs.

Tourism WA is a statutory authority and part of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. As a state tourism organisation, Tourism WA’s job is to promote WA as the best place on the planet to visit, for locals, people living around Australia, and visitors from overseas.

We work in partnership with industry, the private sector and government to promote WA, attract events to the state, and help our local tourism industry thrive.
